LE MIROIR DIVIN est une performance, singulière et surprenante, qui nous porte, le temps d’une nuit, dans les vertiges de l’être et ses profondeurs. Maya Cherfan offre, (le 1er mars, jour de sa naissance civile) par la parole, le corps, et l’esprit, une étonnante œuvre de patience, d’espoir et de foi. Mettant en lumière la beauté de l’être uni à la Vie Eternelle, son geste artistique est une réponse à l’humanité qui se meurt. Elle est aussi une réponse au tableau « le corps du Christ mort dans la tombe » (Holbein le jeune – 1522), où le souffle semble retiré du corps du Christ, où la résurrection est enterrée. Elle est une révélation incroyable à la beauté fiévreuse et fervente de « l’idiot » (Fiodor Dostoïevski – 1869), qui, en voyant cette peinture, ajouta « Ce tableau pourrait faire perdre la foi ».
Pour beaucoup, la mort est une négation de la Résurrection, où seuls, la souffrance et le fatalisme y sont dépeints. Cette performance voudrait dépasser ces illusions en tentant de se fondre dans une réalité divine et lumineuse: Nature Principale, universelle et immortelle, présente en tout être sensible.
Maya Cherfan, mise à nue, à cœur ouvert, tente de prouver dans sa performance, la possibilité de l’être et de son devenir. A travers la vision pénétrante, elle crée un Jugement Dernier pour tous, et un jugement intime avec chacun. L’œuvre performante illustre, à travers le regard des autres, leur propre vision. La performance devient le catalyseur, le révélateur ultime, le miroir qui réfléchit l’être et sa traversée, la procession solitaire que chacun porte en soi.

THE DIVINE MIRROR is a performance, unique and surprising, which takes us, the time of one night, in the vertigo of the being and its depths. Maya Cherfan offers (the 1st of March, day of her birth calendar) through the word, the body, and the spirit, an amazing artwork of patience, hope and faith. Highlighting the beauty of being united to the Eternal Life, the artistic gesture is a response to h…umanity who is dying. It is also an answer to the painting « The body of the dead Christ in the Tomb » (Holbein the Younger – 1522), where the breath seems removed from the body of Christ, where the resurrection is buried. It is an incredible revelation of the feverish and fervent beauty of “the idiot” (Fyodor Dostoyevsky – 1869), who, on seeing this painting, added, « This picture could make lose the faith. »
For the majority, death is a denial of the Resurrection, where only suffering and fatalism are portrayed. This performance would exceed these illusions trying to blend into a divine and illuminate reality: the Principal Nature, universal and immortal, present in every sentient being.
Maya Cherfan, laid bare, with open heart, will try to prove in her performance, the possibility of being and becoming. Through insight, she’ll create a Last Judgment for all and an intimate judgment with everyone. The work performance illustrates, through the eyes of others, their own vision. She becomes the catalyst, the ultimate revealing, the mirror which reflects the being and his crossing, the lonely procession that each one carries inside.
